  • I measured the Phoenix city water from my tap with a PPM meter. It is almost always above 600, which is extremely hard. I started using the Glacier water machine outside the Safeway store on Greenway rd and Tatum Blvd. At first it measured around 20ppm which is pretty close to pure, but the last two times, it is up around 55-60ppm. I should check the last time it was serviced and make a call. At first, I was going to use the machine at the gas station across Tatum from Safeway, but it wouldn't take my dollar bills. I wonder what Glacier says their PPM should be at their machines. I just read online that these machines are supposed to take themselves out of service with the ppm of total dissolved solids (TDS) is above 50. Next time I get water, I will take my TDS meter with me.
