| - This place makes fantastic drinks and shaved snow! I wanted to photograph the shaved ice/shaved snow menu and post it on Yelp, but I forgot my phone. My aunt said that in a previous visit, they used fresh taro in their smoothies. I haven't tried any smoothies, but I have to say that's impressive. One pet peeve I wanted to note is their menu not being clearly developed. On the menu, there's a photograph of green tea (matcha) milk tea, however, it is not listed. There are also posters of the classical black milk tea and Thai iced tea, but they are not listed on the menu. The first drink I ordered was their matcha milk tea. To liquefy the matcha green tea they blended it in a blender and added brewed green tea. I tend to think of blending as taking a shortcut, however, I gave them the benefit of the doubt because brewing matcha green tea hot and then cooling probably takes a long time. At least the milk tea had the flavor of tea. The second drink I tried was the rose fungus dew. They pour a syrup/jelly onto the bottom of the cup and added a brewed herbal tea consisting of rose petals. It was just right! Not too sweet and contained sweet rose pulp. My final order was for their snow ice (shaved snow). I did not eat it right away and it melted, however, the snow flavor I ordered (matcha green tea) was not too sweet and had the proper flavor. I had it topped with jelly and mochi and glazed with condensed milk. The barista/cashier that took my order was friendly and made everything in a timely manner. My heart soared when I saw they were using Coffee-Mate (most authentic ways of making black milk tea that I learned involved Coffee-Mate). I appreciate any place that uses tea instead of simply blending powders and syrups. I will return to explore more of their milk teas and herbal teas. The prices are also decent ($3.50 for a large drink).
