I dropped a 1997 car off which had failed a smog to them upon a referral. According to the printout on smog, had two sensors out. I was quoted a price of $710 with labor being $150 of it. Told them I found the same parts for $160 shipped online (they quoted $550 for the 2 parts). They agreed to put in my own parts which I thought was great. After doing some research and finding out that the labor could be done in less than an hour, I questioned their labor prices and was told, "you ask too many questions, please pick up your car within less than two business days". So, could it be that the $390 in their parts surplus influenced this attitude when their labor profits decreased as well? You be the judge. There's more to the story but no point in going on. The bottom line is that I wasn't informed of a lot up front such as, my own re-smog, my own driving time after computer reset (which I was never told about to begin with), etc. Does that sound reputable to you?.
