From outside, the place always looks closed. From inside, it always looks like it's about to close. Staff (usually one person working only) are sullen and seem unwilling to help. It's sometimes hard to get more than one-word responses from them. The bread used to be better. I'm not sure what happened, but those strange plastic bags all the loaves are wrapped in don't help. Cobs a few doors down has generally awful bread, but it's bright, inviting, and the staff are cheerful and helpful. Brick Street could learn a lot from them.
