  • Ugh I hate car related issues. But no issue this time, not really. Just had to get the car inspected. Made an appointment, very easy. Showed up for the appointment, they didn't start checking my car for another hour. I was fine with that...not really in a big rush. Of course when you need your car inspected, they always find issues. This time not the brakes, not the tires, but one windshield wiper and one strut. I honestly didnt know you could buy one windshield wiper...thats so crazy but they provided me the option to buy one. Wonder what they do with the other one if you dont buy the set? Bought the strut, they installed it and put the car back together. They took my car out of the garage and parked it...all ready to go. I paid, got in my car, and drove down the street. As I was climbing up McKnight Rd hill (going towards downtown) my car started shaking and dragging uncontrollably. I felt like I didnt have control over my vehicle. So I turned back around and spoke to the manager. He told me that I most likely needed an alignment...and this is why they request we get one with a strut replacement. I dont remember the previous person telling me this...so I'm not sure it happened. But that's water under the bridge. My main issue, when they do any work like that, arent they supposed to test drive the vehicle? This didn't happen the first time. They completed the alignment and the young man took it for a test drive (like they should have at the beginning). The manager then went for a ride with him the second time (for a second opinion?) Finally I was able to take my car back, once I paid for the alignment. The manager was able to give me a small discount on it. I have to say, I will probably not go back to this establishment. Although it beats the one on Centre Ave. (need an oil change? Your car will be ready in 5 hrs) - I just need to be sure that my car will be safe - and in the same, if not better condition than when I brought it in. They definitely lost my business because I do have another vehicle which needs to be inspected shortly.
