  • Another great year with another great lineup. We ended up seeing The Mowgli's (Kat and I really liked them, David not so much) before heading back to Crescent Ballroom for the drinkers to drink. At Valley Bar, we stood in the smoking area to watch Health on the Punk Rock Alley stage, whom David thoroughly enjoyed. From there we bounced around the venues being more nomadic than purpose-driven. My bae wasn't feeling well and ended up calling it an early night around 11 p.m., poor thing. But I stuck around to wander some more. Girl Talk, even just the tail-end of it, was amazing (on par, if not a bit better, then Crystal Castles last year). I ended the night with Phoenix Afrobeat Orchestra, who are another truly terrific bank (seriously, if you haven't heard them, check this group out!) Sucks we have to wait a whole year to experience this again, but I'll be patient.
