My mother took her Honda Odyessy here for some recall work. After it was done a man named Daniel showed my mom a picture on his cell phone of some very broken brake pads. He told my mom that they were her brake pads, and recommended she pay the $490 to get them replaced. He used the word "critical". We were shocked, because we had just gone and gotten the brakes checked by a mechanic that we use regularly, and he had cleared them. Daniel told my mother twice that he'd send her the picture. It never came.
We took the van back to our normal mechanic and he brought us into the bay and showed us the perfectly intact brake pads.
I spoke with service director Chris today. He gave me the run around and swore that Daniel is a very honest kids and that it was a mistake. How is it a mistake when the kid said he took the picture with his own cell phone, handed my mom her car keys, and even printed off a piece of paper with his recommendations and then WROTE ON IT.
Way to try and bilk an old lady out of her money, Hendrick. Super classy.
