  • Is it really worth it having the AA credit card? So far. No. They don't show you how many miles you need for each travel day -- each day of the year is worth a different amount of miles -- so you can go through the trouble of finding the perfect flight -- then are unable to use your miles. By the time you call AA customer service to find out how many miles you need -- for a certain day -- you've lost the flight cost you had... and now it costs $200 - $300 more -- And you're not able to use any miles.
