Upfront disclosure: I am not a fried food aficionado.
So I brought three guys who were with me to this event. We had the unique and belly busting opportunity to sample nearly the entire Tenders menu. Tenders is the flagship of the PDQ franchise, and the location we visited is the original location.
It's pretty spacious with ample parking and indoor and outdoor areas. We were in a private room with doors opening to the outside that I assume would be perfect for a company picnic or birthday party.
The staff at Tenders was exceptionally helpful and informed.
Fun fact: Their nuggets are tips of breast meat cut off- not the typical processed junk.
Fun fact #2- they don't freeze or microwave anything
My favorite? The zucchini fries scratched the itch for something a little greasy without feeling like I needed to leave via a wheelbarrow. Their milkshakes were delish too and didn't have any artificial flavor. The giant straws they come with are cute and necessary.
The guys loved the flagship tenders and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich.
Also notable was their Grilled Turkey Breast Sandwich with cranberry sauce y'all. Thanksgiving at anytime. Their sauces stole the show. They have 45894783905 creamy, spicy, tangy, sweet. Something for everyone.
Should you eat at Tenders on the daily? Probably not. But when you do know that they support the military, local schools, sports teams, etc. They value giving back and making some dope chicken.
