| - We headed down to this flea market on a hot Saturday afternoon. I wasn't what to expect...a neat, clean flea market like the ones I've been to in South Carolina or the old, antique-filled kind you come across in New York. Unfortunately it was neither of the two.
There are a large number of vendors, but many are selling the same stuff. There is a heavy Hispanic influence, with many vendors selling "Mexican" wares such as produce, ready to eat food and everyday household items like makeup and perfume. There was also an abundance of clothing available for sale, but I definitely saw the same selection of hats at four or five different stalls. Most of the stuff was new, but it was not as clean and inviting as a South Carolina flea market. Everyone was friendly, but there were a lot of people moving amongst the cramped stalls, making it pretty uncomfortable to navigate around. Also, there was definitely an open sewer near some of the stalls and the stench was horrific.
I would definitely not recommend hitting this flea market up, as it was a waste of time for me. I'll wait for our next trip down to Myrtle Beach to get my flea market on.
