This place was excellent. Easily the best meal we had in Montreal - and we ate at some great places. Everything was fresh, innovative, yet comforting. I like that the menu is limited so they can focus on a few items at a time.
I had the roast chicken. I was not going to get it because, well it's chicken and some of the other options sounded better. The table next to us ordered it though and when I saw how rustic and delicious it looks, I had to try it (also the server strongly recommended it). I did not regret the decision. IT was moist, well seasoned and had some interesting takes on the base sauces.
I ordered a gin martini with a new gin - Monkey47. The bartender came over to our table to discuss with me how I liked my martinis and what ratio of vermouth to gin she recommended. She later came over to see how I liked it. It was a seriously good martini, backed up by amazing service.
Highly recommend Foxy.
