| - I've attended picklesburgh three years in a row! It's a great festival to check out. They have everything pickled that you can imagine. Not everything, but more than you can eat at one festival! I always regret not trying more, so I went during lunch this year and tried a pickle lemonade from Siena, a hot honey brined chicken from the future restaurant Coop De Ville, a pickled Bloody Mary, and allllll of the samples.
Too hot mamas had a good spicy pepper sauce. The Amish stand had great everything... epic pickles were pretty tasty... but back to the star of he show, the hot honey fried chicken from coop de ville, the next rich deshantz restaurant.. that may have been the third best thing I've eaten in my life. It had a mayo like sauce, honey, pickled green tomatoes, green stuff and a delicious hunk of juicy chicken. I really hope it's on the coop menu! I should have ordered one to go..
The event also has a pickle juice drinking contest that I tried in 2016... if you can't drink a quart of pickle juice in under 10 seconds, you're not going to win. So practice practice practice....
Overall, a Great festival!!
