  • My family has been shopping off and on at Sprouts for years... beginning back when it was Sunflower Market. While I worried that lots would change with the takeover by Sprouts, I'm really happy to say that it's only gotten better. I don't often buy the pre-packaged food (unless something I really like it on sale) as I can often find those products cheaper at other stores. We're not really a non-GMO, gluten-sensitive, etc. type of family, but there are brands we enjoy because they taste the best... like Cento tomatoes, Newman's Own, etc. But the standouts for us are bulk items, like Granola, pistachios, steel-cut oats, wasabi peas, dried fruit, etc., and their butcher! OMG their in-house sausages are to die for and the varieties (available in pork or chicken, link or ground bulk) change with the seasons, with green chile and apple sage recipes in the fall and chipotle and baja seasoned varieties other times of year. Their Italian sausages are available in mild and hot, with the hot being our favorite in Arrabiata dishes. They also feature brilliant creations like beef pinwheels with seasonal vegetables and cheeses, fresh fish filets cut to size, lamb chops, and some of the prettiest marbled ribeyes in town. Their bakery leaves some to be desired, but as this isn't a huge store and they bake French bread loaves and rolls daily, that's understandable. Check out their flyer which is new each Tuesday, and on "Double Ad Wednesdays" you can stock up on the items from the previous week's flyer as well as the new ad and maximize your savings. The quality of produce is the best in town, and they have a great selection of wine and beer. If you're into supplements and natural health remedies, this is the spot for you. I had success when I first moved to Vegas battling allergies with local honey I bought at (then Sunflower Market). Sometimes you have to wait a little while in checkout line, but the staff is always very friendly. And absolutely take home a rotisserie chicken - better than Whole Foods, and chain store, and Costco's offerings. Thank me later!!!
