  • Dustin was an unprofessional property manager Luckily, he is finally gone from the property entirely after a 6 month nightmare. The complex is in an awesome location, yes, and our apartment is spacious, upgrades, with high-ceilings... but it has been a horrible experience with the change in ownership, lack of resident portal for 2 months (I have been traveling over the summer and was forced to order and mail in paper checks to pay rent...in 2017), incompetent maintenance and emergency maintenance procedures (our 4th floor patio door busted open during a monsoon and wouldn't stay shut and no one contacted us for 2 days, let alone respond to emergency requests within hours, which led to a flood in the room/I work from home and they shut off our power for 2 hours disrupting my wifi connected on during the workday and summer heat), and general flippant and rude attitude towards residents. Regarding the other positive reviews: there has been one resident event since we moved in, and it and it was "Dustin's welcome party." There have been absolutely no member events since end of February. Maybe Greystar went bankrupt after hosting those well-documented gatherings that attracted us to the property while shilling for a new place initially? No clue. The carpeted halls are un-vacuumed, there is no AC in the graffiti'd elevator (in a 4 story building in AZ in the summer), and the property looks dingy for the price tag for the area. Park 28 also doesn't provide recycling pick up, yet we pay $25/month for valet trash pick-up service. Again, in 2017, who doesn't recycle..? Absurd. We have to carry our recycling out to the sweltering parking lot. Also: I was literally told at move-in that our cashier's check (verified funds: google it if you're unfamiliar) was "rejected by my bank" then "misplaced in the system." He eventually found the check and cashed it. My bank rep had to get on the phone and try to explain how that was not an issue on their end to Dustin and I had to sit in his office while he told her how he was simply ex-BofA and was a branch manager or executive there... he never offered an explanation or apologized. He also once told us he was a "higher up" at Greystar, the previous management company, and that he had single-handedly let go of all the previous staff for underperformance. He also said that he was the corporate liaison and wouldn't let us escalate our complaints to the corporate/parent company. The latter is documented in our sad and unfortunate email exchanges with him. On a lighter note: Hopefully now that the change of ownership is complete, we will experience an overall better place to live! We are trying to stay positive. Stay tuned.
