When you have kids you have to take them to the doctor and don't have time to go yourself. With all of my insurance changes I lost my favorite primary doctor that I've been seeing for 10 years. My insurance actually assigns you a primary care doctor so like I said I didn't even go. I finally switched doctors asking for certain preferences (Summerlin and Female) and Dr. Vancise became my primary doctor since June.
I've been pretty pleased the few times I've been here with how quick it is to actually get in a room and for the doctor to come in. She was through and I felt like she listened to my concerns and medical history.
The referral process is a mess though. I had a test done and was referred to a specialist. The specialist saw me and referred me to the surgeon however my insurance wanted my primary care doctor to send the referral. I spent 2 weeks trying to just get them to send the referral to the surgeon. They kept telling me I needed to come in (pay more $$) for this referral or I wouldn't get a call back back after leaving messages. I finally got through to the referrals lady and she sent it over after I explained my whole situation. I also needed a referral to get a biopsy done and that wasn't taken care of so I had to call multiple times about that as well.
They have a Quest lab too so if you need blood work done I would recommend it as it's quicker than any lab location.
Overall, Dr. Vancise is great but some of the office logistics can be frustrating.
