| - I have been here since 2007 and I love my home. My experience with the building staff, Liz Comrie and her team, has mostly been positive (we all have bad days). Our elevators have been recently upgraded which was awesome! Other than the move days the are pretty consistent.
I have not had to wait more than 48 hours for a repair and that one time was because they needed something that was not in stock. It was my balcony screen door and at the time, Toronto had shortage of glass because of the condo boom.
Now we have been under construction for sometime so I suppose somethings have to be prioritized and I'd like to think that they are doing their best to do that. Our parking garage is getting a complete overhaul which is awesome! I really like it when my building doesn't collapse. That said, it is still a bit noisy with the construction. If you're one of those folks who are sensitive to that sort of thing, you may want to wait before moving here.
The neigbourhood is evolving so much and so fast. Not everyone will feel comfortable here, it is a downtown inner city neigbourhood flanked by Cabbagetown, Regent Park, Moss Park, and Church and Wellesley Village and Ryerson. Nobody in this neigbourhood is milquetoast. We welcome folks with challenges. That is just outside the building. Inside our building has an awesome sense of community. Folk smile (mostly) and say good morning. If you like pets we are pet friendly central. My neighbours are great and a bit less transient these days. They are real neighbours, you can even borrow a cup of sugar if you like. Other than the staff, I know at least 30 fellow tenants by first name.
If you're looking for perfection don't move here. If you like to put your own mark on your apartment or community, this is the place for you. Unlike most places they don't discourage minor improvements. Pick your colours, change your floors, remodel you4 kitchen if that is your thing! It's true this is way better than condo living if you can get past not owning your home.
