The crowds here get unruly at times, with the line snaking all the way out of the building and onto the sidewalk during the summer. It doesn't help that you line up to pay, and then you have have to line up again for the gelato counter. So expect there to be a wait between your need for gelato and actually getting something sweet in hand.
I opted out of the gelato line and got a large square of Nonna's Tiramisu instead. It was delicious but light enough that I could easily devour the generous portion with little issue. Will definitely brave the wait next time for it, but will continue to skip the gelato line if it is busy. Expect the prices to be slightly more expensive due to the area.
