3 stars for being reprimanded and scowled at by my massager, Mary, for a $10 tip vs $15 that I used to give her. Not cool.
Been coming for 3 years now when in town. Rated 4 stars in the past, but no more. Mary was great and got $15 easy, but this time it was often bone on bone (elbow on spine/ shoulder blades), pulled hair & I could sense she was just going thru the motions, disengaged & not paying attention. I've recommended this place to many and this was the first time I couldn't wait to finish.
Being hustled for more tip when the quality was poor is a BIG turnoff. I caved in and gave her another $5, but will never use her again.
I understand it's only $20/hr, but basic courtesy & professionalism goes a long way. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. Maybe the owners can pay their workers more as everything is cash run, business is great and a good chunk of $$$ goes under the table. Oh and please teach your staff basic American manners. Entitlement doesn't go well whether you're in a high end or humble work position. And a $10-15 tip might not seem a lot, but for a part time teacher and mother of 3, it's a genuine tip of appreciation, gratitude and what I can currently afford.
