  • my doctor is five stars (izenberg) his assistant and the front end staff are terrible.Over three years ago the dr recommended very very expensive blood work, after billing my insurance over 3k for an evaluation of the blood draw and the review of the results, i'm told i have many issues , some that can be taken care of with diet and exercise. i have low t and he can help, there is a new product that is installed under the skin and will slow release a supplement.his old office highly endorsed this product , there was advertising everywhere.i said if my insurance will pay i'm open to try this.i wait and wait and wait and many months later , still unresolved as to whether it's going to be covered, they move his office. I left many voice messages with his assistant and never got so much as a reply.i like the Dr. and find him very knowledgeable so i get around the no calls and book another appointment.i wait for 1.5 hours watching sales people getting ushered in and out of the dr's offices, it looks like a revolving door of drug reps, getting more attn than any patients . i finally my visit with the dr and he advises "more blood work" , another 3k gets billed to my insurance. results are ? good guess low t. his new office is not equipped to install the product that was so heavily endorsed by his last office(back up to pharmaceutical sales reps vists) so he books me into a specialist in tempe to do a consult that costs me 300 bucks , but the kicker? they don't take my insurance, so it's not happening and im out 300 bucks, bonus prize for me the visit that dr izenberg recommended the specialist for a consult also cost me 120 bucks at his office. so after they milk my insurance for another 3000 bucks i'm no further ahead, granted the Dr , that i deem i like is always okay with some free samples here and there, if i can pry them from the grips of his assistant who loves to deliver this message every single time "the Dr wants you to know these samples will not always be available" i mentioned that statement to him one time and he laughed and said she likes to think she owns the samples. the comments above about the poor customer service skills by the front end staff , well they are on point, i've scheduled appointments early early and have waited for hours, i've left the place unseen as many times as i've actually seen the dr, (3 times in three years) he's had a good assistant and had good front end staff at his last location. good luck and be patient if you want to see Dr Izenberg. three years ? pretty patient i'd say
