  • The thing I like about the Habitat ReStore is that it is helping the comunity by reusing/repurposing household items, selling used items, collecting donations from the community, providing a coffee shop and used bookstore (where I found a book for a book club for only a buck!) those are some of the things that I like. The thing that I don't understand is why the furniture is priced higher than you would expect in a store that is geared towards more of a lower income audience. Maybe I'm wrong in thinking that. Not sure. I just find it odd that an old couch is about the same price as a newer used couch over at a smilar concept store...in a nicer neighborhood. I don't know if it's because they know how much you could get for it at a consignment shop and are trying to do the same or what. Go with low expectations to find a good piece at a decent price.
