I am truly disappointed in the customer service at this Lowes.
I went in to purchase a $950 tool cabinet. I was helped by a guy named Mike. He was great and very helpful. I decided to pull the trigger on the purchase. Mike told me to take a picture of the item numbers and take them to the person at the register and they would set up delivery. I did just that but was told by the cashier I would need to go to customer service to actually set this up. No problem. The person at the customer service desk told me she was not authorized to set up deliveries and I needed to speak with a specialist. She pick up the phone and paged someone. After a few minutes of waiting, she tries to call the extension. No answer. She then flagged down the lady working in the paint department to set up the delivery. At first, the lady in the paint department said she couldn't do it but was instructed that it was just like doing seasonal. "Ok, follow me".
I followed her to the paint department and she set up the invoice in the system. I'm feeling hopeful now. I asked about delivery options. I was told that there was a delivery fee of $79. I am fine with that. Them, she said and I quote, " when I get back from lunch, I will call you and let you know when we have availability. I was baffled. I'm standing right here, right now. How long can it take? Anyways, she instructed me to let the cashier know I had an open invoice under my phone number and she would call me later. Needless to say, I left without buying. No one was really rude. More indifferent than anything else. I ordered a set up from Home Depot that I really didn't want but I won't give my money to lowes. Especially $950.
