  • "We must never confuse elegance with snobbery." - Yves Saint Laurent So I popped in yesterday to find my wife a cool birthday present. To help facilitate this endeavor, I thought I'd trade in some high end duds that just outlasted their stay in my closet. Not that they suck, I am just so well off that I am bringing home too much good fashion to fit in my house. Better fashion than you will find here. I wasn't looking to make fifty bucks or anything. Maybe just like twenty in store credit towards a bigger purchase for my lady. I brought in some Burberry, BCBG, Forever 21, Guess, and a Cavs warmup. Well worth fifty plus, but I'm realistic. I was ready for twenty five, maybe? Before I could even fill out the form, homegirl had assesed my wares. She said they could only buy the WalMart Cavs jacket. Wait, so you don't want actual cool designer stuff, but you want the thing I bought at Walmart while I was picking up salisbury steak and toilet paper? It seemed like she didn't really even inspect everything. Which I find disrespectful. Maybe she thought they were fakes? Listen honey, I don't rock fake shit like you. It's legit. And frankly would give your shitty inventory a shot in the arm. I came in here around Christmas and was supremely underwhelmed. I've seen nicer stuff at Value World. Now maybe, just maybe they don't take high end stuff? Funny, cuz my wife sold some Armani shoes here. And I'm staring at fucking Saint Laurent heels on the counter as my trade is being rejected. I was utterly flabbergasted. I don't really get this business model. Post pix of designer stuff on Instagram, but deny it when it walks through your door. I mean I just really...what? So in this equation, this business lost. Lost decent inventory to move, a possible bigger sale and any future business from me.
