| - Cardiology Experience.
We were referred from our vet for our dog with heart murmur and new cough, enlarged heart for cardiology. We were able to get an appointment quickly with either doc. We saw Dr. Sikorska.
There is some paperwork to fill out for new patients, so go at least 15 min early. The entrance is in the back up the hill. There is ample parking. The place inside is large and open and clean. The front desk women were very nice. The vet techs were nice, but seem on the younger side.
We did ask what to expect when I made the appt and again when we got there. I also asked about costs. They were very helpful, open, and honest. They told us the plan for the appt --intake, doctor exam, possible testing, results of any testing with doctor, and then done. We did say upfront that we did not want any testing done without us agreeing to the test and the cost. They had no issue with that and even gave a us an estimate. (Again, this was NOT an emergency appt, our dog did NOT need to be urgently or emergently stabilized)
We did agree to the echocardiogram and BP. (The Chest XRAY and labs were already done at our vet recently and our vet had sent them the results and images ahead of time). Our dog was taken back for echocardiogram and we were told it would take 15-20 minutes for the exam. He was back with us under 20 minutes.
Our dog is very sensitive and he did well the entire appt. Dr. Sikorska was extremely nice. Wonderful bed - side manner. Our dog was very calm with her - which is excellent. She answered all of our question and was very informative about our dog's diagnosis.
Honestly, we were very concerned about some of the reviews. But, we had a very positive experience - even despite our dog's diagnosis. We would definitely go back to her (plan on it) and recommend her.
