| - I attended a wedding a Byron's South End in August. From the exterior, it does not look like a large space or wedding venue, but as we made our way through the industrial and artistic courtyard, a beautiful ballroom was waiting for us in the back of the property. The industrial/rustic feel of the courtyard continued inside with exposed brick, beams and eclectic light fixtures.
They had a bar set up in the corner; as the crowd piled in for cocktail hour, the line at the bar got kind of long. I think it would have been helpful if they had more than one bar set up. The bride and groom decided to do stations for dinner. There was a Southern themed station with shrimp and grits, a fajita station, mashed potato, a carving station and salad bar. The shrimp and grits were hands down, my favorite! The fajitas were second runner up. The service staff was great at clearing plates, though I do recall wishing they had refilled our waters more frequently. The dance floor was the perfect size for group, though the bar situated in the corner, up a few steps, which made it somewhat tight and awkward to get drinks throughout the night.
Overall Byron's South End hosted a beautiful wedding! I recommend it.
