After reading through the very confusing menu, this is what I had: two pieces of chicken plus 4 "dots" (basically timbits) with garam masala salt = $9.05
1. they must have been starving the chickens. The two pieces were so tiny, 4 regular size bites later I'm done
2. zero seasoning for the chicken
3. zeo seasoning for the batter and it's rock solid hard. I arrive at 1:15pm and they pulled them out of an oven - probably dried out completely.
4. chicken pieces were too large to "dip" in the salt in the tiny container so I try to sprinkle the sault onto the chicken and the entire lump came out.
5. Asked for two pieces of dark meat instead of one white one dark. At first they refused but the next customer was looking for two pieces of white meat so we made a deal. The person serving us didn't know how to tell white meat from dark so after staring at our orders for a while I ended up with one white and one dard anyways.
6. the "dots" - bascially cut up sugar donut - nothing special.
I didn't try the donut as I couldn't believe I just spent $9 already. Left me with a very unsatisfied feeling.....
There were 5 people standing behind the counter doing nothing so that probably explain the high overhead they need to pass onto the customers.
The set up is lovely and matches the prices they were charging for sure.
Yesterday I was at Leslieville pump (basically next door) - same price and I was stuffed.
