  • I had been going to mynt for a couple years .. It's a gorgeous salon and everyone is super kind! My hair cuts have always been beautiful- it's just colouring is awful. I asked for ombré and came out with copper ish red something.... Barely noticeable... She told me I would have to come in and do it a couple of times to get the blond... I trusted her and came in a few months later and did it again! Same outcome- if not worse... So I immediately asked to come in to fix it... I was in tears!!! They wouldn't take me until two days later to get more toner to strip the red... They did it no charge but charged me to blow dry my hair after.....and it looked the exact same! More orange. Their answer- my hair just couldn't go that colour... So I went in again... Cause I just took their word for it... And just cut it all off... All 6/8 inches.... It was disgusting.... Ruined Months later and in need for a cut I gave up... I went to a new salon and the person did a beautiful blond ombré on the first go. My hair is super healthy and it looks amazing. I told him the situation and showed pictures... I explained what mynt told me and he said they probably didn't wrap my hair and the colour was exposed to oxygen to make my hair do that--- totally correct! She hair painted my hair, and used selo wrap to separate them.... Simple science. My hair can go blond and looks so soft and beautiful. I wish mynt had just asked someone else for help... Or like knew more about colouring... I feel like I got ripped off for two years settling for such awful colouring and then stupid for taking their word for it that my hair just couldn't do it? Don't recommend it.
