This restaurant is located inside the Aliante casino/hotel. We stopped for dinner on the last day of the year. The place seemed relatively busy. We tried to ask for a table but, apparently, everything was reserved. We ended up sitting at the round counter. We started with the drinks and I wanted to try an apple cider. The options were reduced to a single choice which was Redd's apple cider. I saw it before but I never tried it so I decided to have one. I ran through the menu and I saw things that I liked but I felt that many of them were overprized. I ordered a 16oz New York steak and grilled asparagus. The cider was good, definitely clear and fresh. The steak was well cooked just like I requested. It was not dry nor juicy, more of somewhere in between. The asparagus were good and flavorful. After the meal my girlfriend and I decided to share a dessert and we got a crème brûlée. I was not impressed since it was too creamy and it lacked consistency. All in all I had a good dinner. I listened to a talented musician sing and play his acoustic guitar in the background. We were assisted by Chrisalyn for the night. She was polite and friendly. I only had 3 issues with the place. The first is that the cider was poured in a big glass so it sort of lost its temperature as I ate my dinner. A smaller glass would have been a better choice. The second is that I think the lights at the round counter have a wavelength that makes you feel hot (probably on purpose so you order more drinks). The third thing is that a steak, priced $34, although good, it was definitely overpriced.
