| - For a storage place that is next door/surrounded by GCU, you would think they would be friendlier, more accommodating, neighborly with the college. Living out of state, we opted to have my college student store some items in their "GCU special". The getting in to take items took a long time, they were not clear on the "location" where she was to put her items (they give you a 5x5 space you share with 3 others.
So besides poor customer service, when move in week begins, I call to see if maybe they were opening early (you know - since the move in time each day was at 7am for particular dorms), I was told no and that it would take an hour or more after they open for us to get in to the unit. When I question this - I'm told I shouldn't have waited until the end (Hello...I'm out of state, and the school picks the move in dates - not the students). Anyway, we rearranged our schedule to drive out a day early to get into the unit where they still took an 90+ minutes to allow access, had bad attitude for all students and parents and really acted like they wish the students didn't use they space. Don't worry! We won't again. Plus we found that less than 2 mi away we could have gotten a unit to ourselves for almost half the cost! So they rip off the students/families and provide horrible service. I see on another review they won't rent to GCU anymore. Thank God no one else at the school will have to deal with this horrible place/neighbor.
