I think these guys mean well, but they don't run their business well simply because they knowingly rent crappy equipment to people. I was given a bike that I was told was "fast" and ready for the "level trail" with the gears already set. I thought that was a weird thing to say about a 21 speed bike. Though never explicitly stated, I think the message was, "don't change gears or you'll have a problem." I came to that conclusion after a miserable ride with a jury rigged derailer/gear shift assembly. Pedaling was a nightmare because it would get stuck in gear and then simply switch gears on its own with no rhyme or reason causing one's legs to jolt downward creating a jarring, strenuous and sometimes painful ride. My first experience of this part of the GAP trail was miserable because of their crappy bike. I was especially miffed because I know they knew they were renting me a defective bike. On a positive note, I left my car keys in the bag and didn't discover that until after they closed. I called and they answered and went out of their way to return to the shop to help me retrieve my keys. Definitely did me a solid. If they had nicer bikes, this place would be awesome.
