| - I loved it! Go support this wonderful art installment. We need more awesome things in this community.
We had a huge brunch event and then we were going to the Ice Cream Exhibit. Well, my friends had too many mimosas and bailed on me. But I'm not one to waste $25. I headed over to experience the experience by my lonesome (this I do not suggest to you, bring your friends).
The front ladies were nice and got me all signed in. Make sure you take your receipt/ticket. Otherwise, you're not getting in. Plus just make it easier on them, follow the rules asshole.
Once in I was greeted by a man dressed like he worked in an ice cream shop (super fitting), once he found out my friends had bailed he called one of the other guys to take his spot, he was going to take me through the whole exhibit.
He did.
It was awesome, because not only did I get to see everything I got to learn about the artists that made everything in there (they are ALL LOCAL, I loved that) and how the experience got started, who started and all the dirty little secrets behind the exhibit.
To make a long story short, it's a mom and son who had this crazy idea and made it happen. They found some people who would take a chance on them and give them until Feb 2018 and see what happened. If there is enough interest, the show goes on longer and there will be other shows with different themes in the future (that sounds amazing to me!)
After I went around with the manager, he set me free to experience it on my own and take all the photos my heart desired. I took 102 of them. Yup this place is great for Instagram photos.
The two other guys working that night were amazing too. Amazing people that were super friendly and were my friends that night.
Out of all the rooms, the Ice Cream wall you can draw on and the Scoops Basketball area were my favorites!
Go check it out, support local and have FUN!!
