| - We had a group of 16 play here in early June. They had our names on the carts in the proper manner. That was good. The course was in good shape. Not super, but good. The greens had been done semi-recently, but they were rolling good. The layout is fine. The black sand on #3 (?) was funny because one of guys said, "I don't think I can get it over the water."
I can't comment on how well they replicate the holes though. It is a neat concept, but unlike the Tour 18 course I have played, they are not "TV" holes so I can't appreciate the value of them. There are some interesting holes though.
They lose a star in my rating because of the surly, unpleasant guy, behind the counter. Everything he did conveyed the fact that he did not want me to be in his space. It was like, "why are you here bothering me?" I was the organizer of the group and he knew it. So you would think that he would be concerned that everything was taken care of. He didn't. I thought it might just be me getting that vibe. But when two others in my group, that went in separately, both came out saying the same thing, I knew that the general manager has a problem on his hands. Later in the day I went in and asked who that guy was. Tom. Same name as the one related in an earlier review here. Hey GM, do something about this guy! He is directly hurting your reputation.
The other thing that took a star away was the limited menu in the food service. The help was friendly, but there just wasn't much of a choice.
