  • A little more than six months ago, I was looking for a way to get back in shape and possibly meet some new people. I searched through a lot of different types of places but for some reason USSD caught my eye--and I'm so glad it did. The reviews for the Green Valley Dojo helped lure me in--so here's mine. This place is great. There really is a family atmosphere, and everyone is very welcoming and friendly. The instructors are fantastic--very knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, fun, and not afraid to kick your a** (it can be a great workout, that's for sure). This is certainly one way to transform yourself physically--several people have--and it has helped me get back in shape, but for me, the mental transformation has been more dramatic. I've gained confidence and feel more centered. Knowing that I am gaining the tools to defend myself has helped make me more independent. I can't say all of this is 100% due to USSD, but it has played a huge role. I look forward to the greater amount of maturity I know will come with more practice. Plus, it's FUN. Overall, it's a little pricey, but it's been worth every penny.
