I love Giada. I have been wanting to try it for a while. We did not make a reservation because it was lunch and I didn't think we needed one. We were promptly sent into the punishment room (the bar) for 15 minutes because we didn't have a reservation. The funny thing was that although 3 parties left during that time no other diners came in during that time. When we were seated we got to sit by a huge open window near the street corner and we really enjoyed watching the people. Our waiter was a little nutty but he was nice, he introduced himself and left without taking a drink order or anything else. When he did return he actually tried to leave again and I had to tell him we were ready to order. We decided to order a few appetizers and see what happened. We ordered the Gorgonzola with pear and honey, wow, it was delicious. We also had the prosciutto with pear and fig mustard. MMMM. The caponata was something that I had not had before and it was also very good. By the time we finished the appetizers we were to full to order a main dish. It was very good overall and the only reason I didn't give the fifth star was for being punished for not having a reservation.
