| - Lunch at Vidas, party of 3. Satisfied orders, 1 of 3...
Vidas is in a prime location, hence gets a fair amount of business just due to that fact.
Then what? Their food was probably between 3-4 stars, note the "was". I had not gone to Vidas for 2-3 months, but this visit was a severe disappointment. Not only did they raise the prices on their menus, they made it so you can't select your side from their list of sides when ordering from 3/4 of the menu.
Let's get onto the food... there is something to be said about a restaurant when the chips and salsa are the best thing for your meal. I ordered a Cobb Salad, but due to the "loudness" in the restaurant, the order was taken as a House Salad. Sigh... I was in a rush, so I did not have them make a new salad. Either way, the salad was ALOT of iceberg lettuce. There was 1/4 of an avocado, some corn, and simple beans. Fairly bland dressing... all for $7. I am not sure what part of that salad constitutes the extra $4, maybe the location?
Another person ordered a ground beef taco. People at Qdoba, Chipotle, or any of the fast food "Mexican" joints at least know how to drain the fat from the meat before putting it into the taco shell. Vida apparently does not understand this process. The taco my friend got was a soggy mess dripping with grease. When you can see your reflection on the taco, not good.
The review would probably side on the lower end of 2 stars, I was debating giving only 1 star.
