  • Sometimes I wonder if it is me. Maybe I am not hip enough to the times. But I just don't get it. I went to an informative and fun event here but tried a few things and didn't love it. We did a cupping and the coffee tasted pretty burnt. I really couldn't get a solid flavor besides that. So I ordered what I would normally try at a coffee shop: a chai latte. It's not coffee obviously, but that's what I order. This didn't have the creaminess or sweetness or smoothness of any chai latte I have had before. If you took a chai tea bag, soaked it in hot water and added milk... yup that's what it tasted like. Sorta bland. However, I will say that this place really is passionate. They go the extra mile (literally) to get their coffee beans and roast them in the store themselves. They really, truly seem to care. But I'm just not feeling what I have tasted.
