Dr. Frederick was as good a dentist as any of them but, evidently, all dentists seem to play games at the time to pay the bill. I had searched and searched for a local dentist to help me with a needed extraction. The staff was kind and patient but I had been told an approximate cost for the extraction procedure and, of course, it ended up being twice what I was told.
The whole procedure took 10 minutes or less. Easy extraction. It took longer to fill out the paperwork than it did to pull my tooth. I was obviously not happy with doubling the price I had been quoted but the primary thing they wanted to talk to me about during this was how much it was going to cost for the next visit. Sorry, but there will be no second visit.
If you are paying cash and ask for an approximate cost either 1.) get it in writing or 2.) Automatically assume you will pay double whatever they quote.
