  • Okay where to begin...we bought our Cube almost 3 years ago in 2014 and loved our salesperson Trudy! After shopping around for the Cube in Bali Blue (we knew exactly what we wanted) we had some awful experiences at other Nissan dealerships closer to our house like ABC and Peoria Nissan so Trudy with Avondale Nissan was a breath of fresh air...even though she was almost 30 miles away from our house, my husband and I went for it! The buying process was amazing and we LOVE our Cube (P.S. Nissan - bring the Cube back PLEASE!!) The trouble began about 6 months later during summer when we started using the AC more frequently. The AC blower strength would increase/decreases intermittently (even the controls weren't touched) and it would make a low rumbling guttural noise. We brought it in and our Service Advisor, Julie (who is absolutely amazing too) said the blower needed to be replaced. After keeping our car for a couple of days our Cube was good to go! Then, like clockwork, the SAME issue with blower happened again the following summer and around the same time. So back at Avondale Nissan we went and the blower was replaced again!! So, yes, now that is 2 blowers in 2 years! And each time no explanation for its malfunction was provided, but we were informed it was replaced with a new Nissan certified part. Now today, yes you guessed it, I'm sitting in the customer waiting area at Avondale Nissan waiting for the initial inspection to be completed for the EXACT same AC blower issue yet again...will the likelihood that it must be replaced again! That'll be 3 brand new blowers in 3 years - how does that happen?! I've been driving for over 25 years and have never seen a car - new or used - go through that many blowers in such little time. There must be something else going on, some tangential issue or problem causing 3 perfectly new blowers to burnout! I'm trusting the mechanics will figure this out because I Love Avondale Nissan and all the people that have helped me but this is a tremendous time sink, it's inconvenient for me to drive 30 miles to get this SAME issue fixed over and over again, and I just want them to make this right!! I'll keep you all posted and will update this review once Avondale Nissan has responded...we shall see.... UPDATE: I have involved Nissan Corporate to explain why the Nissan-certified part provided twice was faulty and has failed to operate as it should. Both myself and my service advisor are awaiting their follow up which should occur by COB today (9/12/17)... RESOLUTION: Despite having called the Nissan Corporate regional representative several times and leaving voicemails without receiving follow-up communication, I am happy to restore Avondale Nissan's review rating to the full 5 STARS because my service advisor, Julie, is amazing & really came through for me after my Cube being in the shop for just 2 days - looks like 3rd time is the charm! Apparently the work needed was quite labor intensive and Julie had one of her super experienced mechanics delve deeper into why the car burnt thru 3 blowers in 3 years...the culprit was identified as a wonky electrical part (transistor which regulates amps) that CW was been replaced, and another new blower installed. Our Cube did great on the way home and blew lusciously steady stream of air! Julie remained diligent, kept me informed step-by-step, and truly cares about doing right by her clients. Connections with people like Julie are what establishes loyalty, creates a person willing to drive many more miles to given patronage to a particular company, and sets the bar super high for other competitors - if your Nissan needs service go see JULIE @ Avondale Nissan!!
