  • Ok, decided to try this place, after already checking out Rudy's (across the street). Step 1. Went in the front door, NOBODY there to greet you. We waited a few more mins. Then just walked in. We asked the "kids" in front the the cafeteria style food. Do we seat ourselves? (&**#*&$*&*@&) he mumbled. Didn't quite, understand what he said. So we, grabbed the menus and started asking questions, Cuz nobody, told us "anything" about how to order,etc.... anywho.... we order the #3. Now, you can add either a baby back or spare rib for a buck more, which we did. The meal comes with either lemonade or ice tea. NOTE: we had to ASK for the baked beans, for our meal. They didn't have them out to see. Instead, the had these "HUGE" trays of HUGE potatoes (Think a russet potato, cut into 4's) wayyyy too much. And it DIDN'T make me think,,,, ahhhhh I'm here for some BBQ. I passed on the Mountain Man, potatoes, and asked, Hey, do you have baked beans??? He said, oh yeah, and scooped me out some. We get out dranks, and head to the table..... WTF!!! ALL the FOOD is " C O L D "!!!! not luke warm.... Fricking " C O L D " we nibble and then I tell the "Mgr" our food is cold. The Couple in front of us, said Their food was cold too! So, they go about explaining, they didn't know the warmer was off, etc They took our food, and said they would get us more, and it would be hot. They turned their warmers back on. OK,,,,,, 2nd Round. I got the Fricking Dam Mountain Man Potatoes. NOT what i had on my plate the first time.. Plus.... we couldn't figure out what was so dam Hot..... They pile on "PEPPER" on these potatoes. I LOVE hot, but it was alittle too much for me.. The food was STILL "warm-cool" . Neither of us, wanted to eat it. They did offer to refund our purchase. Which I took. They did ask me how the food was. I didn't want to tell them it was, awful. But, the manager insisted. So, I told her, It wasn't good. I took my refund. I think it could be a Good place. Its new, and they have some kinks to work out. Here's my suggestions, for whats its worth: 1. Have someone at the front to greet the guest. Especially 1st timers. 2. Put the "Bar B Q" fixings to the front. Not them dam Over-sized Pepper Tatters! Yuk 3. The Chicken Breast was SO dang dry. Probably, better to shread them 4. The Ribs.... I didn't even eat mine. So, I cant give an opinion on it. But, It didn't look appetizing either. 5. Make sure the Food is "HOT" Will I go again..... Probably Not. Will I reccomend?....Probably Not. As a matter of fact. 2 guys were on their way in, and asked how the food was. I had to answer, honestly. Mmmmm, Ech, Think they went across the street. Cuz, they went in, got the menu and left. btw: Rudy's, is "slightly" better. At least the food was hot. I'm NOT a Rudy's fan either, but Id probably go back there
