  • Moral of what my long summary of my experience is- only go here if money is of no object to you. I went here because of their large selection of glasses, including designer frames. When I met with the lady who was selling the frames to me, she sat me down and told me what I need to pay for my new glasses with lenses. It was around $600, so I asked her to break down what the expenses were for. She skimmed over it very quickly; I asked if she had a document like many other glasses places have with the different options you can choose for your lenses. She tells me, "We don't like to 'a la cart stuff here." She had thrown in extra fees for making my lenses scratch resistant, glare resistant, etc. Then she says she can remove something, don't remember what it was and that got rid of a $67 expense, but this clinic didn't like to get rid of anything else because the lenses wouldn't be good then. So I asked her again to break down the cost of everything, which she did not want to do. I inquired if I could use both of my insurance benefits, $175 towards frames and the $120 towards contacts. She told me I didn't want to do that because I'd actually save more money if I just filed one claim all on the glasses. I asked her to do the math for me... and pushed the matter, eventually she did, her face turned red, and it turned out with her method I'd only save $97 instead of $120. Once I broke the math down she explained I would ultimately save money but that it's frowned upon to file 2 claims. I'm thinking, you either allow people to do it, or you don't! Don't lie to your customers. They up-sold me the daily contact lenses, claiming they don't carry the Oasis oasis because of all these negative claims about them. Then I heard her talking about me to the ladies up front- commenting how I said the contacts are so expensive and I'm trying to save $23 by making them do 2 claims. When I came in for my $600 glasses, the ladies just handed them to me... didn't do a fitting or anything. So I asked, can you make sure they fit right? While I'm standing there at the front desk, she looks at them briefly. Lol... so now that you have my money you're done? Additionally, when I bought these expensive frames I asked if I would be getting a new pair, not the display. They said yes. When I received them they were scratched along the sides (as if they had been in the display, and magically the display ones were gone). Not going back here, not trustworthy. I spent over one thousand dollars here on contacts and glasses for this one visit, they should certainly be treating people better. Just because I'm buying expensive frames doesn't mean I shouldn't care about hidden fees, I pay attention where my money goes which is why I am able to afford nice things on occasion.
