| - We had relatives in town over the weekend at a resort down the street from Flo's. First of all, they do not deliver. The night family got in, we got Chinese rather than go out, because they were tired from their road trip. My fiancé had to go pick it up, and since we had no menu, I just ordered typical items over the phone, and was not given the total. Had we seen a menu with prices, no way we would've gone to Flo's. First of all, the prices are outrageous, and do not reflect the quality of the food. Got five dishes and the tab was $85! Where we get Chinese delivery in Phoenix, tab would've been under $50. The pork foo yong was just a big egg patty with bean sprouts, but NO pork, at $12.95, but the gravy was good. The vegetable pad Thai had no flavor and was made with big fat noodles instead of the thin rice noodles we were wanting, and not many vegetables, at $12.?? The most disappointing dish of all was the shrimp fried rice. Not only was it NOT fried and had no flavor, but it was plain dry white rice with peas, egg, a few vegetables, and about 7 tiny shrimp, at $14.95. It was nothing like the moist brown yummy shrimp fried rice I used to get, with lots of shrimp. The veg spring rolls were good, but $6 for two! The Mongolian beef ($15.75) was small, but very good. And The Kung Pow chicken ($13.50) was a nice surprise with red peppers along with the typical green, and extra vegetable - not too many peanuts though. All in all, most of the meal was disappointing, but the biggest shock was the $85 vs. $50 for the same but YUMMY items AND delivery to our door. Will not go there again when staying in Scottsdale.
