  • This place is an absolute joke. First, even if you schedule an appointment, plan on sitting there for two hours of more at minimum before they'll even get to your new donor paperwork. I sat and waited for over three, nearly choking several times over the urine smell that seemed to mask the waiting area. Then after all that, I finally get to go fill my paperwork out. Seemingly this is the light at the end of the tunnel, right? Wrong. I get all the paperwork filled out, am ready to donate when one of the workers comes out from the back area, tells me to show my arms. I do. He glances for about five seconds, no turnicate used or anything. He then tells me, "we can't see any veins on your arm, you can't donate today." Uhh.. of COURSE you aren't gonna see too many veins without a turnicate clown. Funny thing is, I went to CSL in Tempe immediately thereafter and guess what? They found a vein just fine. Oh and by the way? I was in and out in under 2 hours. It also didn't smell like a bathroom. The pay may be a few dollars more at Biomat but you're much better off at CSL.
