  • The only reason I gave this place 5 stars is because Dr Suarez was super nice and I wouldn't want to mess up his good rating because of someone else. I went in for a second opinion because I had some confusion on if I really needed a crown that my regular dentist suggested and I wanted to make sure it was necessary. It turns out it was. When Emmy came in to go over pricing with me, her demeanor just rubbed me the wrong way. She was rude and condescending and very opinionated. Horrible qualities for customer service. I can't believe they have her representing them. She quoted me a price that was $200 less than my regular dentist quoted me, but then went on to tell me that I would end up owing the full amount if my insurance didn't cover the rest. I'm sorry, isn't it your job to contact the insurance company to make sure that it will be covered before the work is done? I've had a lot of major dental work done over the last 10 years and not once has any receptionist ever told me that I might be responsible for the whole cost. I just want to know how much I owe, it's her job to contact insurance and make sure it's accepted so that I don't have to pay the full cost. I think that's something any patient would want to be sure of BEFORE having the work done. It may not sound like a big deal, it's just the way she went about everything, and her attitude that did it for me. After all that, I still booked an appt with them for the crown since it was $200 cheaper, and I would have kept the appt and got the work done from them, but she just left a bad taste in my mouth that caused me to go straight to my regular dentists office and ask them why the price was different. Turns out my regular dentist was giving me a bruxzir crown which is designed for people who grind their teeth (me) so it was more expensive. They ended up giving me a pretty big discount on the bruxzir crown which actually made it cheaper than Emmys price for the regular crown. And I'd also like to mention that Emmy told me her crown was normally $900 and that I was getting a discount, but when my regular dentist looked up the price for the crown I would have gotten from Emmy, it was contracted from the insurance company as the same price she quoted me, not $900. My regular dentist also told me that if there were any kind of discount, it has to be proven on the financial agreement they give you, and NO where on there does it say $900. So she lied about that. However, on my regular dentist's financial agreement it does prove the discount they gave me. All in all, it's a shame they have someone like Emmy working for them, everyone else was really nice and I haven't had any actual work done from Dr Suarez, just a second opinion, but his bedside manner was on point and he seems like he does good work so his rating is a 5 and Emmys is -10
