  • WORST MOVE EVER!!! I have made 4 major interstate moves over the years, but this was the first I had to pay for myself. This was from a storage unit in Reno NV to our new digs in New Orleans LA. I did do some research, but unfortunately, the Yelp review I read for Oasis was actually from SF Bay area (where we were actually moving from). This move was Nov. 2010, but wanted to get something posted. Here is a summary: - 2 days late on the pickup (Nov. 5 instead of Nov. 3) - Charged an extra $222 for "materials & packing", although everything was already boxed, disassembled and ready to go - Never received an actual load weight - just told that we did not go over the 5100 lb estimate - No one at Oasis would take any responsibility for anything; I was continually lied to and passed off to others - Goods were then offloaded and stored in Las Vegas warehouse for over 2 weeks while we were under the impression they were in transit - Delivery should have been by Nov. 23 (in time for Thanksgiving). We were told by Jewel (the Customer Service rep) by phone that they should arrive by Nov. 24, which did not happen - Goods were finally delivered Nov. 29 by the driver and his wife - no additional help; while they did their best, if I had not been here to help they would not have been able to get the job done by themselves - 2 boxes were missing from the inventory, which happened to be a Sony PS3 in its original box, and a box labeled "PS3 Games/BlueRay DVDs", with a total value of $1299; it is my guess that they "walked" while our stuff was in their Las Vegas warehouse; the driver took note they were missing - not accounted for according to the inventory list - 2 pieces of antique furniture were broken - A Chinese vase and its stand were broken We are still working the claims process, but have not heard anything from them for 3 months... the value of the missing (STOLEN) and broken items far outweighs any "savings" that we may have had over more reputable companies. I also intend to lodge complaints with the Las Vegas BBB, DOT/FMCSA and MovingScam.com. If there was a way to assign negative stars I would. STAY AWAY!!!
