The dinner at monk kitchen was slightly above average which is not what I expected. I went as a big group so maybe the kitchen was a bit off by having to accommodate close to 30 people all dining at the same time.
First, the service. While the serving team were pleasant and lovely to interact with, the speed at which the food came out was inconsistent. During the 5 course meal, there were people who waited more than 5-10 minutes to get their meal while others had already gotten theirs. Again, I understand that this may have been due to the party's size.
The food itself- some were delicious but other were just average. The portions were TINY. I mean, I get it, the appetizers are forgiven if they are a bit or two but the main was also the size of the appetizer. My main dish was literally like 2 ounces of meat. A little morsel.
After the 5 course meal, many many people at the table expressed that they were still hungry.
I might try again as I'd like to believe that the night we visited was their "off" night.
