I had to wait over an hour in registration. The floor nurse called me on my cell phone and asked if I had forgotten that I was to have a procedure that day. I told her I was already at the hospital, waiting in registration. She said that she had not been notified. Pre-op was another long wait before anyone came in. When they did, I had 3 nurses in my room rushing around trying to do everything at once: IV, vitals, chest patches, health history. It took them 4 tries to get my IV in, they lost my information and had to ask me the same exact questions 3 times, my BP cuff was put on incorrectly which was causing me a great deal of pain and when I mentioned this I was ignored. My doctor came in to see if I had any questions about the procedure but I couldn't talk to him because of the mass confusion in the room. I felt traumatized by the time I got into the procedure room. I have been a nurse for 20yrs and was mortified at how I was treated. Procedure room and post-op were very good and so I gave the hospital 1 star for that.
