| - Ended up browsing the website, and seeing that my favourite adult toy has been updated and finally is back on shelves. I decide to drop by to pick it up and bring a friend, because she is interested in exploring her wild side. (Truly a great place, because my friend is a transgendered woman, and we had no trouble with this store ever.)
The store is currently undergoing renovations - the walls look blank and decoration-less, and the effect is clinical looking. The addition of led light strips to the shelves causes the store to look sterile. The shelves are lined with a grey plush fabric and the different sex toys are laid out on them.
The layout has changed a bit. To the front of the store is a shelf with male masturbators and sleeves. The shelves near them hold larger products like sex swings, furniture and floggers. The shelves on the opposite side now hold a bunch of vibrators and clitoral stimulators. The middle now holds a selection of instructional books, erotica and other literature. (Check out the Elisha Lim body of work - they are a great artist!) The next section hold kink tools like nipple clamps, cock rings and other miscellenous items. The wall holds a giant selection of strap on harnesses - so many choices, leather, synthetic,...etc. The wall holds a bunch of anal play toys and gender fuck accessories like soft packers, two types of chest binders and a variety of other objects. (I suggest going to the Stag Shop on Church (the gay village) for more selection in chest binders.) The wall of dvds has not changed, as well as the shelf of condoms and lubes. (I have never seen more latex and non-latex types of barrier protection ever - I love the different types of dental dams you can get here!)
My friend and I ended up testing out some of the different vibrational speeds on the tester models. We found a few models that weren't charged and ready to go.
We both selected our purchases after half an hour of browsing. The staff went through the process of grabbing our new products from their storeroom, and testing them in front of us with new batteries. (Note, if purchasing the "Thumper" - they don't carry the C batteries needed for this - apparently it's the only dildo in the shop that uses that size of battery!) The staff member reminded us that the toys have a 30 day warranty on them, so if they break within a month, you can get a new one - with receipt.
4 1/2 stars - because the chaos of the renovation and the fact that they don't carry batteries and male to female transgendered pornography.
