Voted number one hotel in the Cleveland area and I can see why. Nice big reception area, Starbucks at the adjacent office building, great location near the Public Square and Warehouse District, and the most impeccable service.
No more dingy little room with an unobstructed view of the rows of Buicks and Chevys from the nearby parking garage at the neighboring Hyatt. The room on level 20 - Club Level - was a huge step up: spacious, clean and with ample natural lights as well as the view of the (frosty) lake.
And having traveled solo quite a bit in the past few years, I typically analogize room service to working late whilst eating cold chicken club sandwich with soggy fries and a dessert of half-melted dollop of ice-cream, which take more than 45 minutes to arrive after ordering.
Not so at the Marriott Key Center - the following came within 20 minutes: delicious onion soup still scalding hot to the touch, warm apple pie with a side of vanilla bean ice-cream, and hot green tea to clear the sinus. Needless to say I was pleased as punch.
