  • dianah damron de luna was working under Wendi Cleckner of Freedom and the Seed (FATS) when she over saw the pregnancy, birth and postnatal period of my second child. She was(IS) absolutely wonderful. She is an excellent listener, very warm and compassionate. dianah strives to offer her clientele and their whole family a sense of peace and confidence in the pregnancy and birth of their newest addition. My whole family looked forward to each one of our prenatal appointments. They were conducted with professionalism, but had laughter and love in every one. One thing I really love about the midwife, especially homebirth midwife model in particular, is that I had access to dianah 24/7. If or when I had concerns, a call, text or email was always returned within an hour (or usually sooner). The birth of our youngest happened in the wee hours of the morning and Dianah was there, supporting and loving us the whole way through. Dianah held the space I needed to break through the wall of my first birth to birth my youngest on my own terms in my own time. One thing we still laugh about is, when my baby was on the verge of being born, I was standing in my bathroom being supported by my husband and our doula. At one point, I remember Wendi peeking in and whispering "You better not let that baby land on the floor!" The next thing I knew, dianah dove between my husband's legs and was laying on the floor, waiting for the baby to slip out. Luckily I was able to bring baby up to my chest on my own, and no baby was dropped. dianah and Wendi spent several hours making sure I ate, was hydrated, and comfortable before they left. They also made sure baby was latching properly. My husband was relieved to learn that they had also done our birthing laundry and cleaned up all things concerning the birth. A large pot of healing tea was also left on the stove, ready for bottling. Another surprise was frozen pads in the freezer. dianah also encapsulated my placenta. We did not have to worry about storing or transferring it as she took it home with her and brought back the pills at the next postnatal appointment. It included a lovely keepsake of the umbilical cord dried into a heart. We do not plan to have anymore children, but if we were, Dianah would be on the top of our list for midwives.
