This is my favorite of the places I've tried hot yoga in Toronto. I'm not a yoga person at heart. I hate hatha and would rather clean my bathroom than do rounds of sun salutations, but I'm a very active person (athlete and a dancer) and I know I need some balancing activities for flexibility and mindfulness. This studio offers yin yoga (my favorite) and a more humane and holistic approach to hot/Bikram yoga. The instructors are welcoming and get to know each student as well as their abilities, goals, and limitations and help each student get the most out of a session without pushing them beyond their capabilities. They actually teach the positions, make corrections, and make individual adaptations for those who need them instead of barking at everyone to do the most extreme version of a pose (which I have encountered elsewhere). The studio is very comfortable and not too hot, with the option to move closer or further from the heat source. Highly recommend for anyone who is not quite sure about hot yoga or is interested in yoga as a personal journey and not a competition! :)
