| - Typically, I enjoy coming to this location. I really love their pre-made salads in the produce section, it's perfect for a last minute work lunch. I usually have no issues with employees, they're typically very kind and friendly.
However, I was at this location the other day. My office at work had a food drive for donations to St. Mary's. The team that brought the most donations won a pizza lunch. I stopped by to pick up a few things, not to try and win lunch, but because I truly believe in supporting good causes.
While checking out, the cashier asked me if we were judging based on pound or item (I never mentioned the reason for my purchases, she asked me out of the blue). I told her it was based on item, and I kid you not, she looked me straight in the face and told me, "Oh well you might as well not even waste your time, there was someone here before you that spent over $100."
My jaw dropped, who says that?! I was only spending about $20, which is pretty much all I could spare at the time. I understand it's not much, but I was doing my part as best as possible.
I am honestly so appalled by that remark, I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. There's a bashas right across the street, and that's where I will be doing my shopping from now on.
